Principal's Message

Dear Partners in Learning,

As Principal of Emperor Elementary, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year. I know that we are all counting the days until we can greet each other at the gate with hugs and hellos. Until then, I know that every single staff member is so excited to meet you, even if it is at a distance. Emperor Elementary has always had a very clear mission of supporting every student, both academically and emotionally. We will continue to support your child so they are able to grow academically, stay connected, and also help in any areas of social/emotional development. Our teachers have spent the summer learning new platforms of delivering curriculum, and will continue to engage all students, while also developing capable, independent thinkers.

This year, we will continue our focus on leadership. Each month, students will learn different qualities of what it means to be a leader. We will also study books such as “The Day You Begin”, by Jacqueline Woodson, “All Are Welcome”, by Alexandra Penfold and Suzanne Kaufman, “The Magical Yet”, by Angela DiTerlizzi. These are just a few of the books that we will read together that help to show our connectedness, and also strategies that good leaders can use. I hope that you know that you can reach out anytime you need support. Information will be communicated through newsletters, from both myself and teachers. Additionally, you may follow us on Instagram at emperoreaglestcusd and on Facebook.

I am honored to serve as your principal of Emperor Elementary School. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, staff and students continue their partnership and care for each other. We all hold the same commitment to our children, and these relationships support both the academic and social development of each child. Please contact me at any time at mruedel@tcusd.net.

Sincerely,

Myra Ruedel

Principal
